Head-On Crash Involving School Bus Carrying Children in Plainview, 8 Evaluated

PLAINVIEW, N.Y. — A head-on collision involving a white sedan and a school bus carrying children prompted a significant emergency response late Wednesday afternoon on Old Country Road.

The crash occurred shortly after 3:45 p.m. on Old Country Road, just east of Grohman’s Lane.

According to reports, the school bus was occupied by children at the time of the collision. A total of eight people were evaluated following the crash, including the bus driver, the driver of the sedan, and six children who were aboard the bus.

Despite the severity of the incident, no injuries were reported.

Traffic in the area was impacted as first responders responded to the scene. Old Country Road has since reopened completely.
