Man Robs TD Bank in Lake Ronkonkoma

LAKE RONKONKOMA, N.Y. — Suffolk County Police detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred at a Lake Ronkonkoma bank on Friday evening, just an hour before the bank was scheduled to close.

According to police, a man entered the TD Bank on Portion Road near Sullivan Street at approximately 5:15 p.m. and handed a note to a teller demanding cash. The teller complied, and the suspect fled the scene on foot.

Police did not immediately release a description of the suspect or disclose how much money was taken during the robbery.

Crime Scene Investigation units and detectives remained at the bank into the evening as they processed the scene and continued the investigation into the brazen robbery.
