Victims Zip-Tied at Gunpoint, Marijuana and Cash Stolen During Syosset Warehouse Robbery

SYOSSET, N.Y. — Following a two-month investigation, Nassau County Police arrested four Queens men in connection with an armed robbery at a Syosset storage facility, where multiple victims were held at gunpoint, restrained with zip ties and robbed of marijuana and cash.

The robbery occurred at approximately 10:15 a.m. on Aug. 10 at 225 Underhill Boulevard.

According to detectives, four armed men entered the facility, restrained multiple victims with zip ties and stole several pallets of goods, including marijuana, along with an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing.

The robbery prompted an extensive police search of the surrounding area as officers worked to locate the suspects.

An investigation involving the Nassau County Police Department's Major Case Squad, Electronics Squad and Bureau of Special Operations identified three suspects as Yuanjun Wang, 23, of Flushing; Junjie Chen, 25, of College Point; and Jiyong Mi, 30, of College Point.

All three were arrested without incident in Queens on Oct. 14 and arraigned the following day.

The fourth suspect, Shuai Yang, 34, of Flushing, was arrested without incident at his residence on Oct. 23, police said.

All four men face charges of first- and second-degree robbery. Yang was scheduled to be arraigned on Oct. 24 at First District Court in Hempstead.

The August robbery was not the first violent incident reported at the storage facility. Two years earlier, on August 20, 2024, Nassau County Police responded to the same address at approximately 11:10 a.m. after a 34-year-old man was shot in the face. He was transported to an area hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition.

Police have not indicated whether the two incidents are connected.

Authorities did not disclose the total value of the stolen merchandise or cash, and it was not immediately clear whether any of the property had been recovered.
