Car Crashes Into Showroom of Hicksville Hyundai Dealership

HICKSVILLE, N.Y. — A vehicle crashed into the front of a Hicksville car dealership Friday afternoon, smashing through two large storefront glass panels and prompting a response from Nassau County Police and the Hicksville Fire Department.

The crash occurred just before 12:15 p.m. at Advantage Hyundai on Plainview Road, when a red Hyundai Veloster crashed through two sections of the dealership's glass storefront before coming to rest partially inside the showroom.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and secured the area while firefighters and police assessed the damage.

No serious injuries were reported at the scene.

Officers assigned to the Nassau County Police Emergency Services Unit (ESU) later removed the vehicle from the front of the building.

Despite the collision, there were no immediate reports of structural damage to the dealership.
