Car Crashes Into Entrance of Farmingdale Bagel Shop Overnight

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. — A vehicle crashed into the front entrance of a Farmingdale bagel shop early Monday morning, causing significant damage to the building's enclosed entrance vestibule.

At approximately 12:50 a.m., firefighters from the Farmingdale Fire Department and officers with the Nassau County Police Department responded to Fulton Street near Bernard Street following reports of a vehicle that had struck the front of The Bagel Hut.

Upon arrival, emergency crews found a black sedan on the sidewalk after crashing into the entrance of the business. The impact damaged the enclosed entrance vestibule. Despite the extent of the damage, there were no immediate reports of structural damage to the main building.

No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

Emergency crews remained on scene as the damaged entrance was taken down and the vehicle was removed.

The cause of the collision has not yet been determined.
