2 Hurt After Two-Vehicle Crash at Busy Hicksville Intersection

HICKSVILLE, N.Y. — Two people were injured following a two-vehicle collision Wednesday afternoon at a busy Hicksville intersection.

The crash occurred shortly after 1:20 p.m. at the intersection of West John Street and Newbridge Road in Hicksville.

A pickup truck and SUV collided at the intersection, leaving both vehicles with significant front-end damage.

The Hicksville Fire Department and the Nassau County Police Department responded to the scene. Emergency personnel evaluated and transported two individuals to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Traffic in the area was impacted while first responders worked to assist the injured and clear the damaged vehicles from the roadway.

The circumstances leading up to the crash have not been released.
